D'Addario Prelude J813 4/4M Violin D String - Medium Tension 4/4 Size

Ensure dependable pitch and clear acoustic projection with the D'Addario Prelude J813 4/4M Violin D String. Manufactured in the USA to strict tolerances, Prelude strings are the premier choice among music educators and developing violinists worldwide.

Built around a solid steel core wound with nickel, the J813 D string produces an exceptionally warm, focused tone while eliminating the harsh, shrill overtones common in entry-level steel strings. Its solid core design delivers fast bow response, making articulation easy and rewarding for students and ensemble players alike.

Unlike synthetic-core or gut alternatives, the D'Addario Prelude series is virtually impervious to temperature and humidity swings. Whether moving between climate-controlled practice rooms, orchestra halls, or outdoor stages, the J813 holds its pitch with rock-solid tuning stability and stands up to daily playing without premature wear.
